One link lead to another and I wound up at Strategy Central, a blog about leadership, vision, strategy and vision by Mark Howell. (It's an interesting blog, you should check it out).
Mark wrote a post on May 15th about a book he is reading titled, 'The Multi-Site Church Revolution: Being One Church in Many Locations', and as I was reading his post it hit me.
I started attending Mars Hill Church in Seattle in 1997 and my best guess is that about 100 others also attended at the time.
In October of 2006, Mars Hill will celebrate it's 10th Anniversary by opening it's second off site location, which we plan on attending since it is much closer to our home. I know, this is an awfully windy road to my point, but here it comes.
In the last 9 years, Mars Hill has grown from 100 people to around 5,000. From one service in the evening at a rented out church to a Multi-site-mega-church, one of the largest churches in Washington state.
Wouldn't you like to see growth like that in your Network Marketing business?
Surely there are different forces at work, but some of the lessons may be transferable from the church to business.
Time to schedule lunch with my Pastor.
