I have been blogging about Network Marketing since 2003 and I really can't think of a good reason why I didn't figure this out earlier.
The biggest problem with Network Marketing is that the people involved do not tell the (whole) truth.
Here is an example:
Team Everest is different from other MLMs because they renamed everything.
Yup, that’s it. You know those “autoships” that everyone supposedly hates so much? Well at Team Everest they’ve eliminated autoships - but included something called MBAs which are exactly the same thing with a new name and a $99/mo price tag.
I am a big fan of words and language, but my hope is that the words and language that I use, better describe what I do and where the industry is going. Words should not be used to deceive and confuse.
If Network Marketers would simply tell the (whole) truth, there would be very little for critics to complain about.

Ty, 'truth' is just a part of the deal.
Overpriced product from the companies and lack of commercial awareness in distributors are biggies.
And, with the undue emphasis on 'recruit' rather than 'retail', let's not forget the root of 'autoship' deal... that many and likely most products are bought by distributors - people buy the product to get involved with the opportunity.
