
More than 83 million consumers flocked to the Web in search of health, fitness and nutrition info during the month of April according to Nielsen//NetRatings.
Women made up 58% of the overall group, men 42%. 15% fell between the ages of 25 and 34. 36% were in the 35 - 49 range. The 45+ set accounted for nearly 52% of the total audience, followed by boomers (55+) and seniors (65+) at 25% and 9% respectively.
Among their favorite sites: WebMD, MSN Health, About Health and Fitness, Walgreens, Weight Watchers, RealAge, AOL Health, Medco, Mayo Clinic and Yahoo! Health.
