What technology or platform was the (MLM) software written in?

Every programming language out there has it pro's and con's. The questions you should be asking have little do to with what it was written in but why it was written in. You should be asking why was your technology written in ASP or PHP? What benefits does your Technology gain from being written in ASP vs Perl Mason?
How a company answers these question is far more important then why they picked what they picked. For example if a company wrote there technology in ASP, you would hope the answers given have very little to do with what the developers knew when they started the company then the support the Language gets from Microsoft.
The next thing you need to know is if they company started with a code base from another software provider or was the software written from scratch. If the software is based on another software provider you need to find out who that was and why they used them as there base. Some things you are looking for in those questions are if that company is also a MLM software provider or not. Why did you chose that code as your base. You need to be very careful about companies that use other code bases to write there software on. Most of them out there where not designed with MLM's in mind. If the software was written from scratch you need to find out how long it has been in production, but we will cover that later.
