Let's say that you use the prospecting book, "How To Get Rich Without Winning The Lottery."
"Would you like to read a copy of this book?"
If the prospect replies, "Yes," --- you then say:
"Great. Let me LOAN you a copy of this book. I'll PICK IT UP in a couple of days because OTHER PEOPLE would like to read it too."
With this simple statement you've accomplished three things.
1. The book has value. You won't give the prospect
the book, but you will loan it to him.
2. You're coming back to pick it up. Expect a return visit.
3. The information in the book is hot. Other people are
waiting to read it because they're interested too.
Use this simple formula for whatever prospecting tool you use. It works equally well with audios, videotapes and information packages.

I wonder how effective this really is except with completely naive people.
This 'hurry and do this before you lose the chance to get rich' approach is by now so old and so transparent I am surprised anyone would still use it or fall for it.
We see it constantly on the Internet. A delicious paradoy of this overused approach is here: Click here you idiot!
