Look at what is happening at MySpace.
Bands use MySpace as their homepage and even mainstream movies are now using a MySpace URL as their main web site. Yes, commerce is creeping into the social network of MySpace.
Many mainstream companies offer affiliate programs but most of them are targeted towards web content producers. I suspect that soon, more meainstream companies will realize that Network Marketing is an affiliate program on "roids".
The benefit that Network Marketing has over affilate programs (aside from payment on multiple levels) is that Network Marketing can be done offline as well as online.
