When British soccer superstar, David Beckham announced he was coming to the U.S. to play soccer, it was big news to the world of soccer. Now we have news that may be even bigger for the direct sales industry. Beckham's L.A. Galaxy has just signed a deal with Network Marketing company, Herbalife.
So when a David Beckham - L.A. Galaxy jersey is sold (and they will sell a lot of them), the Herbalife logo will be front and center.
News has been good lately for Herbalife who earlier announced that the company had been granted a direct sales license to operate in China.
The 5 year deal between Herbalife and the L.A. Galaxy is reportedly worth $25 million.
David Beckham makes a very awesome connector of people paying greater attention to the jersey and its sponsors. A small example of such impact may be realized with a Herbalife distributor presenting a diet shake to a mother and she knows about Herberlife is because her son owns the soccer jersey etc.
