
Double digit growth in Asia is a good sign for Amway with it's U.S. based sister company, Quixtar reporting less than stellar growth over the last 4 years.
Industry insiders tell me that 80 to 85% of direct sales volume now takes place outside of the United States.
Its core distributor force rose to a reported 176,800 from 164,500 in the previous year, one of the strongest growth rates recorded in recent years.(There’s no direct year-on-year comparison due to the change in its financial year-end from August to December. The latest financial year ended December 2006 comprised 16 months earnings.)
We estimate sales grew by some 12%-13% year-on-year in 2006, lifted by the company’s continuous brand building campaigns, new product launches, marketing promotions and distributor sales incentive programme.
